FAST Enterprises provides a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software to government agencies. FAST has 3 solution products: Tax, Driver Vehicle Services, and Unemployment Insurance. Tax is their most popular product and since their clients are government agencies, it means that FAST employees (Fasties) also work in the government buildings. FAST did not want to be one of those consulting companies that would come visit their client for a week and then continue the rest of the project through a computer screen. Instead, Fasties not only are required to work side by side with the state workers, but also are required to work in the office Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. This way, if the client has any questions or concerns, they can directly approach us so that we can resolve any issues promptly. Since Fasties are required to work alongside the client and FAST has numerous clients all across the globe, Fasties are not allowed to select the city they work in. As one of the catches to this job, FAST chooses which site they want each Fastie to work in and generally will move each employee to a new location after 1-5 years.
